We hosted a 60th birthday party, and Trails Edge was the perfect venue! From planning with the banquet manager, Jackie, to the food and the room itself, everything was top notch. Would highly recommend Trails Edge for any party.
Let me start by saying the young man who sat me immediately noticed the table was wobbly and fixed it...not using napkins! Great start! He gave us plenty of time to pick our drinks and answered our questions...he was polite and communicated well...he acted as though he actually liked his job it was refreshing! Had "A Great Pumpkin" martini (I think that is what is was called) and it was absolutely wonderful! Also ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and the kitchen was able to make each half specific to my companion and myself! Atmosphere was good...it was cold and rainy outside so it was nice and warm and dry! It's on a corner and looked like it had the capability to have open doors and windows in warmer weather which would be super fun. Highly recommend!
My wife and I decided to stop in for a snack while out on Plank Road Trail. It's been a minute since we've been down to the square and the brewery is new since our last visit. Not looking for a big meal, we decided on an appetizer, some soup, and of course a beer or two. I'm an IPA guy, so I went with the Morning Teleportation Wheat and was not disappointed; not super hoppy, but just enough for a kinda warm fall day. My wife went with a pint of the "The Blue Sky" Blueberry Wheat Ale. I'm generally not a fan of fruit beers, but I could see ordering this myself. Great aroma of blueberries and you could really taste them too! My wife ordered a cup of jambalaya and reported it to be very good. She even commented on how many shrimp were in it. She found it to be a little spicy, but hey, it was jambalaya, so it's kinda supposed to be... I had a bowl of the chili. I should have gotten the cup, but I had expected the bowl to be a little smaller than it was. Great portion of a super deep red chili with just enough spice. I like spicy, and this had just enough. I thought about asking for some hot sauce but decided against it. There was no skimping on the beef brisket in the chili either. Definitely plenty enough for a solid lunch. The blackened chicken quesadilla was really good. Apparently, my wife got the two pieces with the jalapenos, so mine was a little bland, but nothing out of what I had expected. There was a huge baby shower going on in the basement (estimated over 50) and it didn't impact our service at all. Our server was very friendly and brought out all our food and drinks in a respectable amount of time. If I had a complaint, it would be that the bathrooms are in the basement, but given the age of the building, there's not much they could do about it. We will definitely be back in, if not for a meal, to at least pick up a growler or two.
Event Space Review! Could not have higher remarks for Trail's Edge hosting my bridal shower! My mom worked with Jackie (banquet coordinator) to organize all details and ensure everything was handled from table layout, timing of event, food offerings, room accommodations, and making sure the food got out on time. The space is on their lower level but they have an elevator for those who cannot take the stairs. Restrooms are also located on their floor which was great for guests. They offer a buffet area for food, a full bar for drinks, and a coat rack right outside the space. Katy handled our party and was wonderful! She hustled to bartend, gather empty plates, refill wines while eating, and even went above and beyond with the kids who attended our shower. She was nice to help us clean up the space when the shower was over. Overall, the event was beyond what we could have imagined. I loved the aesthetic of the room for a winter shower! Definitely keep them in mind for any event you need a space for in the Frankfort area.
They have great food, great service, and ambiance! The scenery of the town greatly adds on to your experience if you sit outside. I love the chili bowls. They are my favorite!
My 11-year-old grandson's favorite burger he's tried them everywhere this charcoal broiled burgers, terrific. I don't eat it but very rarely because of the calories, but I had an apple salad there tonight. I changed a little bit by adding tomatoes and taking out the cheese, my wife had the same thing and she said it was the best salad she ever had. My daughter raved about it. It was her first time having it, this restaurant we've been to two dozen times retains great reputation and we had a great waitress named Mary who was all smiles and very prompt and just a delightful lady so this is an easy five star
My boyfriend brought me to Trail's Edge for a simple anniversary lunch. Our server was very friendly and we appreciated her attentiveness. The beer flight was delicious and you can pick your own 4 beers for $15! My favorite was the blueberry. We ordered cheese curds, fried pickles, and the brisket chili (so good). All were cooked to perfection. We'll be back whenever we're out that way!
This weekend we decided to stay out in the suburbs and have a little impromptu anniversary lunch. We had a noon reservation however we got there early and got seated right away at 11:30 am. We chose to sit outside because of the weather, but the brewery has tons of indoor/outdoor space to choose from. Right off the bat our server was super friendly and she checked up on us, which we really appreciated! We both ordered a beer flight which we both enjoyed. One flight was only $15 per person, and you get to choose 4 beers of your choice. We also ordered cheese curds, fried pickles and a bowl of chili. The cheese curds were tasty with a delicious sauce. The fried pickles were super crispy how I like them, but the real star was the brisket chili. We have added this spot to our list to visit again whenever we are around.
Where to begin? Came here for my first time to celebrate my sons Birthday, from the time we arrived everything and everyone was great, especially our server Kat, She went above and beyond Loved the outdoor patio
The service was awesome, beer was great, and the restaurant ambiance was really fun!! The food wasn't my favorite, but to be honest nobody goes to a brewery for amazing food. The beer is what counts! Our server Megan was so fantastic. Would go back for drinks!
